Keel Bench
This old keel from one of the local fishing vessels was found washed up near the mouth of the River Exe. It was a heavy haul but well worth the effort. It now makes a bench for the ever-growing queue outside the village fish store and somewhere for the locals to sit and wait for whatever might be the catch of the day. The keel took a couple of days to shape, clean and prepare, then with a light oil it was ready to float off the floor and wall using an old prop shaft.
